         Phillip, another of the Beymer brothers, came to Washington too.  He never married.  Henry Beymer was the father of eight children—Julia, George, Mary, Simon, Henry, Samuel, Joseph, and Noah.  William was the father of six children—John, Samuel, Bateman, Richard, Wilson and William.  Simon had eight children—William, George, Richard, Simon, John, Conrad, Ellenor, and Ann.  There were so many Beymers in Washington at one time that the place became known as Beymerstown.

         Descendants of the original Beymer brothers became numerous in Guernsey County and many of them are living there today.  The Beymers are the true pioneer family of Guernsey County.
