Village of Neuville

View of the Saint Lawrence Seaway from the porch of our cabin.  The weather started out cool and rainy in Quebec but ended warm and sunny in Montreal.  Villages and farms were staked along the seaway as water travel was the easiest means of transportation before the King's Highway [Chemin du Roy] was built.  This was the first paved road connecting Quebec and Montreal which was built in the 18th century.  We drove this scenic highway visiting the charming villages of our ancestors along the way.
