Assumption Cemetery, Windsor Ontario

Assumption Church is the oldest Catholic Church being established in Windsor in 1767.  The present cemetery is located underneath the Ambassador bridge having come to its present 4th location in 1859 or 1860.  Some of the interred remains and tombstones were moved from the former cemetery site, however, many of the stones have deteriorated over the years and are no longer ledgible.

Most of the early Langlois-Pageau-Parent ancestors were buried in one of Assumption cemeteries.  However, as explained in the previous paragraph, chances are that you may not be able to find the ancestor you are looking for.
