Langlois Family Documents - Historical Maps
The following photos were taken
of a very large map (known as the Collet Map) hanging on the wall of the Burton
Historical Collection at the Detroit Main Library. If you get an
opportunity, it is certainly worth visiting. To think that our
ancestors are included among the very few names listed at that time is
really amazing. The map itself hangs on the wall next to the
stairway to the second story inside the collection. Mr. Clarence
Burton (an well known Detroit historian) paid 300 Francs in 1890 to have
this map copied from the Paris original.
