Purchase of Land from the Ottawa Indians - dated 1787
One of the earliest known documents in the Windsor Archive
collection. This document has been exhibited to manuscript
historians and also been featured on a commemorative poster on the history
of Windsor, prepared by the Windsor Catholic School District. It
took a University of Windsor professor, who specializes in Archaic French,
well over one year to complete the translation of this historic document.
