Conrad Beymer Will

11th January 1801

 

In the Name of God Amen.

I Conrad Beymer of Somerset County being sick & weak in body but of sound disposing mind & memory & knowing 'tis appointed for all men one to die do make and publish my last Will &Testament, in form following.  Viz;

Item 1st.  I will and order that all my just Debts, funeral expenses & Physicians be fully paid & satisfied. 

Item 2nd.  I will and order that after my debts funeral Expenses & Physicians aforesaid are paid that my beloved wife Juliana shall pofsefs and enjoy the one third part of my real & personal Estate during her widowhood or natural life. 

Item 3rd.  The remaining two thirds of my real & personal Estate I will and order the same to be disposes of in the following manner.  Viz;  that it be equally & fairly divided among my children Frederick, John, William, Simon, Peter, Philip and Mary -- My Sons George & Henry having heretofore received from me,  I obligated my Estate to pay for them their Share, which Sums so paid & which Sums yet to be paid for them in discharge of their Debts, wherewith I have become charged to the said George & Henry in full of their Share of my Estate real & personal 

Item 4th.  It is my will & I order that at the decease of my wife Juliana or at the expiration of her widowhood, the one third of my Estate then in her hand shall be equally divided between the aforesaid Frederick, John, William, Simon, Peter, Philip & Mary excluding the aforesaid George & Henry for the reasons aforesaid. 

Item 5th.  It is my Will & I hereby nominate and appoint my Son Frederick Beymer Executor of this my last Will & Testament.  Signed, Sealed, published.  Conrad (his mark) Beymer (L.S.)  pronounced & declared by the said Testator as his last Will and Testament in presence of us.  Jacob (his mark) Lint, John Wells, Somerset.
