Antoine LANGLOIS
Acquired 120 acre in 1776 from and interpreter named Leopold Chesne. Acquired 50 more acres from three Ottawa chiefs in 1787 (his signature on a document). Along with his brother Nicolas Langlois, may have been among the first 20 families to move here in 1749 from orders of the governer of Quebec, to clear the land and set up homesteads.

Antoine married Marie-Desanges ROCHELEAU, daughter of Joseph ROCHELEAU and Catherine PILLETTE, on 19 Mar 1773 in Assumption Windsor, Ontario. (Marie-Desanges ROCHELEAU was born on 8 Oct 1755 in Detroit, MI, died on 23 Aug 1825 in Windsor, Ontario and was buried on 23 Aug 1825 in Assumption Windsor, Ontario.) |
