We
drove to Denali park over the scenic Denali highway. A four hour
ride on gravel roads proved to be too much for our tires and we
encountered our second flat tire in two days. No more gravel
roads! Kenny's tire repair was a sight -- he had lot's of
customers and he was able to sell us another spare.
At
Denali, the smoke from forest fires drifted down from Fairbanks. Our trip
into the national park started early at 6 am - air temp was 42 degrees.
However, the drizzle gave way to a perfect Alaskan day for our rafting trip and
we left
Denali on a warm sunny note. |
